Ekta Kapoor's Haji Mastan film in trouble

Ekta Kapoor’s film “Once Upon A Time In Mumbai” based on the underworld dons, Haji Mastan and Dawood Ibrahim, seems to have irked the family of the late Haji Mastan. Mastan’s son Lalubhai has allegedly sent a legal notice to Balaji Telefilms.
The film is based on the underworld in Mumbai in the 60’s and 70’s. It shows the rise and fall of Mastan from being the first don of Mumbai and the emergence of Dawood as the new don, apart from his romantic associations and his links with the film industry. Lalubhai feels the makers should have taken permission from Mastan’s family. He has sent a legal notice to ensure that Mastan is not show in a bad light. The production house is yet to reply to the notice.
